A Very Whackey Story: The Real Story Behind Whackey Monkey

We are not sure why, but he was always called Whackey Monkey. What we do know is how he met Power Monkey. Once upon a time in a merry land called Whackey World, there lived Whackey Monkey. He liked the lollipop trees, the alien parade and playing with the friendly antennaed frogs. But one day, a big space ship hovered above Whackey World. The N. E. R. D., a sinister force with glasses held together by masking tape, stepped out of the Space ship and brought his gigantic laser gun with him; which was eerie and looked like a pencil.

The N.E.R.D. wore a hat that covered all of his face except his eyes, which were covered by glasses. He took all of the whackey out of Whackey World, he took the lollipop trees, the Alien parade, and the most sad of all, he took all of the antennaed friendly frogs.

Then another figure dropped from the sky. He wore all black and had a mask that covered all of his face. No one knew his name or his species. He could have been a human, an alien, or even a night crawler, no one could tell.  He swooped in and picked up Whackey Monkey and put him in his space ship. Then he took all of the rest of the citizens of Whackey World and put them in his space ship. Then the figure went on to the N.E.R.D.’s space ship and found a device called a “pencil card memory disc 2000” which could help the lollipop tree, the Alien parade, and the antennaed frogs come back with him.

Then Wackey Monkey got the courage to ask, “Who are you, Masked Man?” And the figure took off his mask and said, “I am Power Monkey. I try to do good things and help people.” Power Monkey landed his ship in Brazil. He took all of everyone’s things out of the ship and turned on an air pressure “enater 3000” which split his own space ship into scrap parts.

Power Monkey used those parts to build a safe place for the Whackey World’s citizens to live. Then Power Monkey told Whackey Monkey that he had a special place for him if he wanted to join his crew.

Whackey Monkey said OK. Then Power Monkey said, “We will need to make new special outfits.” Whackey Monkey’s new outfit represented a bit of his culture; it had a rainbow belt, which the leader of a clan of Whackey Monkeys would wear. The logo on his outfit was of a friendly antennaed frog. Power Monkey also got a new outfit. He had a black cape, no mask, a red top with gray bottoms, and he had no logo so he could go undercover.

Now that they were outfitted, they decided to go after the N.E.R.D. Power Monkey told Whackey Monkey to stay in the safe place with the other Whackey World citizens, while Power Monkey would fight the N.E.R.D. Power Monkey decided to use his jet pack to get around.

Soon he found the N.E.R.D.’s lair and they did battle. Power Monkey said, ”You are going to have to pay for what you did to Whackey World. You are a very cruel person.” Then the N.E.R.D. said, “I have one last cruel thing to do.” Then he grabbed Power Monkey by the neck and threw him into a torture machine.

The End.

Oh no! A cliff hanger…..suspense…..!
